FAQ's Please find below a list of common questions we are asked Do you Ship Internationally? We will deliver prints and rolled canvas prints internationally. Unfortunately we do not supply stretched canvas images, acrylics, framed canvas or framed prints abroad. We can however supply a rolled canvas in tube format to be stretched by a qualified framer. If ordering a canvas product to be delivered outside of the UK Mainland the product you will receive will be rolled up ready for stretching without any stretcher bars. Is my payment secure? Lightwave Studios Ltd uses PAY PAL to complete your transaction. Security is probably one of the most significant concerns for both the shopper and the retailer during an online transaction. Please see www.paypal.co.uk for more information. Could I pay by cheque? Yes please email or call us to arrange your order via the telephone. Once we have recieved your cheque we will start to print your pictures. Cheque payments can cause a slight delay in delivery times. How Quickly can I Expect my Print or Canvas Delivered? We aim to send all items to you as quickly as we can however please note guidelines below; Prints - 3 working days Canvas Blocks - 4 working days Framed Prints / Canvas and acrylic blocks - 5 working days Our courier attempts to deliver on the next working day. Please however allow up to 6 working days for delivery of prints to mainland UK and 15 working days for international shipments as unforeseen delays can occur. We can deliver more quickly than this in certain cases. Please contact us directly for advice or to enquire about this service. Can I return the product? It is very rare that we recieve return requests. You can however return you item to us within seven days of recieving it from the courier as long as you notify us in writing (email or post) within the seven day period. Please see our terms and conditions for full details of our return process. What happens if my product is damaged? You can return your item to us within seven days of recieving it as long as you notify us in writing (email or post) within this seven day period for a replacement. Please see our full terms and conditions. We will pay for another delivery to you however returns postage is not currently refunded. As good will, we will try to recover damaged items from you where possible however we can not guarentee this service. Our products are packaged very well to try and eliminate damage to items. How do I receive my Invoices? Lightwave Studios Ltd can send you a copy either via email or with your print if requested. Receipts are issued to you from Pay Pal when ordering and your delivery and order information is sent to us by Pay Pal. This has a breakdown of costs and includes VAT and delivery where appropriate. What are the archival qualities of the prints? Lightwave Studios Ltd uses pigment inks and Matte Paper for Fine Art Printing (Prints for Framing). Please see our print quality section for more information. We assume the print or canvas is suitably framed and positioned away from bright light and direct sunshine. Canvas prints are produced using pigment inks and a Matte Canvas. These are varnished to add durability and life-span to the print. This canvas and ink combination has not however been independently tested to our knowledge and therefore we can not supply any data concerning life span. Our acrylic blocks are printed using semi gloss photo paper. No print will last forever. Precautions when displaying the print such as placing the print out of direct sunlight and behind different types of glass significantly help the permanence of the print. We supply a printed guide for framing and handling the print with your order. Actual print lifespan will vary according to picture content, display conditions, lighting conditions, environmental conditions, and additional post-printing alterations such as framers adhesives. We do not guarentee the lifespan of our prints. What happens if I have a complaint? Lightwave Studios Ltd sets itself high standards in customer service service. If you have a complaint please contact us and we will deal with your matter in confidence and as efficiently as we can. Are the prints enhanced? All our images are printed on Enhanced Ink Jet Printing Materials, using Digital Images. These images may have been enhanced and re-touched for artistic reasons as described above. If significant enhancements have occurred the image will be labeled as an Art-Illustration piece. The images are created to give the viewer enjoyment and pleasure and they are not intended to be necessarily viewed in a documentary sense. Generally our work have no enhancements carried out other than normal digital photographic processes. What does Art-Illustration mean in the description? This means that the image is based upon photography however has been re-touched or manipulated to create a piece of fine art. The image should be treated as such and not taken literally or in a documentary regard as objects may be slightly distorted or repositioned. An example of this may be reflections created in water, scaling of elements with the picture to compensate for lens distortions and illumination of windows which may not have had lighting. How are the Canvas Prints Finished? We use wooden blocks. This means the canvas will sit proud of the wall, stretched around the sides of the wooden block. The sides of the block display the raw canvas. We supply fixings with the canvas block for you. All the canvas pictures are varnished for added protection. Canvas Blocks are not shipped outside of the UK Mainland. We will ship a canvas which has been printed and varnished in the same way as a finished block, however for delivery reasons the canvas will be rolled and shipped in a tube ready for stretching. If ordering a canvas product to be delivered outside of the UK Mainland the product you will receive will be rolled up ready for stretching without any stretcher bars. Can I order a specific size of print, different to the size shown? We can print images to specific sizes depending on the picture.
